Crusoe and the group travel through the bitterly cold snow...
In chapter twenty-six of Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe...Crusoe heads out of Lisbon with the people to a bitterly cold town called Pampeluna. Friday is very scared because he has never experienced snow and bitter cold before. They stay in Pampeluna for twenty days because of the severe weather conditions. When they finally head into the woods, Friday kills a wolf, saving a man. As they move on, they meet a bear. The whole group is entertained by Friday as he teases it before he kills it. Crusoe talks about the fear of the wolves in the area as they travel. They fight many of them and Crusoe very happy that they all made it out. They soon arrive in Toulouse, where they find a warm place for the ill guide to stay. Crusoe talks to the people about the journey and thinks about his sensibility to the danger they faced...

I liked reading this chapter because they worked to get to England. I still miss reading about the island, but I am excited for the next chapter.

Crusoe returns to find a thriving colony that the men formed...
In chapter twenty-seven of Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe...Crusoe makes it to England, where he meets his widow friend. He considers going back to Lisbon, and then to Brazil, but decides not to because of the Roman Catholic religion there. He writes to his friend in Brazil, asking him to sell the plantation. Crusoe is accustomed to a wandering life. He talks about having Brazil in his mind, because he wants to move there. His friend, the widow, convinces him not to do it. He lives like this for seven years, during which he takes care of some nephews. He marries and has three children. During a voyage to Spain, he returns to his island, where he sees a thriving colony that the men formed. From there he goes to Brazil for a little while. At Brazil Crusoe sends the men animals. Crusoe ends the chapter talking about how the men survived a large invasion from the savages...

I enjoyed reading this book very much. I loved reading about his adventures, and all of the things he did to survive and thrive on the abandoned island. I wish I could read more about his adventures after the end of this chapter.
