Crusoe discovers the wrecked ship...
In chapter seventeen of Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe...Crusoe talks about a fifteen or sixteen month time where nothing happened. He says he spent the whole time with high anxiety and he didn't sleep well. He goes on to talk about two back-to-back gunshots he hears one day. He immediately thinks that there is a ship in distress. He set a fire in hopes that they can find him. He later goes to see what happens and is sorrowful to discover a wrecked ship. He thanks God for his survival. He goes out in his boat in hopes to find something useful. He finds liquor, guns and powder, tools,  and two chests, he waits to open. He heads back to his habitation and finds very useful things in the chests. There is gold, tools, pots, clothes, and some other things that could be of use to him...

This chapter was pretty good. I enjoyed reading about what he discovered on the ship. I wonder what the next chapter will be about.

Chapter Eighteen: I Hear the First Sound of a Man's Voice

Crusoe's dream comes true...
In chapter eighteen of Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe...Crusoe lives an uneventful life for two years, going to the ship for things and taking care of his home. He thinks about when he disobeyed his father, and how he would not be in this situation if he had just listened. Crusoe talks about what his life could be like. He talks about his wealth and how it is worthless to him. After about a year and a half one of Crusoe's dreams comes true. Some canoes arrive on the shore of the island and the savages come after them. One Native man escapes and is chased by them. Crusoe kills both of the savages that are chasing the man. After Crusoe convinces him that he is friendly, the man follows him to his hiding spot where he gives the man food and drink and lets him rest...

I think I enjoyed this chapter more than the last one. There was more action in this one. Crusoe also has a new friend now.

Chapter Nineteen: I Call Him Friday
VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV
Crusoe meets Friday...

In chapter nineteen of Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe...Crusoe decides to name the man Friday.
He takes care of him and teaches him words. He teaches him all kinds of things and shows him to eat the right food instead of humans. One day the two of them go to the shore and look at the dead people. They clean up the remains and Friday tells Crusoe exactly what happened. The rest of the chapter Crusoe just talks about making stew and other foods with his friend...

I enjoyed reading about how Crusoe taught his friend in this chapter. I am excited to see what the two do together in the future.
